In addition to our regular choirs’ and ensembles offerings on Sunday mornings, we dedicate a few special Sundays each year to showcase the substantial gifts of our own musicians and provide a space for guest musicians.

Homecoming Sunday

The Westminster Choir & Old Town Brass Ensemble join us as we return from summer to begin a new year. Anthems include "The Road Home" by Stephen Paulus, "Light of a Clear Blue Morning" by Dolly Parton, and Beethoven's "Hallelujah" from Christ on the Mount of Olives. Hymns include "Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven" (LAUDA ANIMA) and "Holy, Holy, Holy" (NICAEA).

All Saints' Sunday of Remembrance

The celebration of All Saints' Day is a time we give glory to God for the ordinary, holy lives of the believers in this and every age, especially those members of our community of faith who have died in the past year. The Westminster Choir & Monticello Chamber Orchestra lead us in this service of remembrance with Maurice Duruflé's "Requiem."

Magnificat! An Advent Celebration

And Mary said, "My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior." (Luke 1:46)

On the Second Sunday of Advent, we anticipate the celebration of Christ’s coming into the world with the Magnificat, a song of praise spoken by Mary, the mother of Jesus. The Westminster Choir & Monticello Chamber Orchestra lead us in this service of praise with John Rutter's "Magnificat."

We celebrate the season of Christmas with the world premiere of a newly commissioned orchestration for Choir, Congregation and Chamber Orchestra, Robert Shaw & Robert Russell Bennett's "The Many Moods of Christmas."
