Rev. Patrick Hunnicutt, Associate Pastor for Mission & Pastoral Care

Patrick joined Westminster in 2005 and was ordained and installed in 2006 as our Associate Pastor for Youth and Families. In 2017, he assumed his current role as Associate Pastor for Mission and Pastoral Care, in which he provides pastoral leadership of our ministries of care and compassion within the church and through our local, national and international mission programs. Born in New Jersey, baptized in Clarks Summit, PA and confirmed at First Presbyterian Church of Ambler, PA, Patrick began to discern the call to ordained ministry as a young adult at First Pres. Church in Arlington, VA. After seven years working in IBM’s Government Relations office in Washington, DC, Patrick attended McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, IL. He also has formal training in spiritual direction through the Shalem Institute in Washington, DC. He met his wife, Sally, on a blind date in Old Town, and they were married in 2000. They and their twin daughters live in Alexandria, where they enjoy friendships and community, summers at the pool and a myriad of family activities. A former Duke Blue Devil mascot, Patrick in his “spare” time enjoys rooting for Duke sports (and Philly teams too), walks in the woods, inconsistent stretches of exercise and music playing, and a good cup of coffee. If you ask, he’d love to have one with you and spend some time sharing matters of life and faith.
