Cambria joined Westminster as our first Music Intern in March 2018, transitioning to Assistant Director of Music Ministries in August 2018. Raised in Germany, she is a graduate of Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA with a BM in Harp Performance and a Certificate in Church Music. Cambria has served churches for seven years, filling various roles from organist to children’s music director.
While studying harp, Cambria participated in masterclasses given by harpists such as Elizabeth Blakeslee, Yolanda Kondonassis, Dotian Levalier, and Bridget Stuckey. As a young harpist, she played on stages such as the Kennedy Center and Carnegie hall with various youth orchestra programs, and while in the Shenandoah Symphony Orchestra, toured throughout the great concert halls of Spain. Cambria frequently gives concerts in various settings and has a passion for street performing, believing in the power of music to connect people from all walks of life during random moments in someone’s day.
Cambria assists in the preparation and conducting of all of Westminster’s choirs, plays for portions of services, and receives weekly conducting and organ lessons under the direction of the Music Director, Dr. R. Ben Hutchens. She is passionate about engaging people in music and is committed to helping people find their own abilities as she continues her education here at Westminster.
Cambria has a passion for rock climbing, and when she’s not engaged in music is likely to be found one hundred feet off the ground. She is an avid practitioner of ashtanga yoga and works as an organ technician with Lewis and Hitchcock. She currently resides in Rockville, MD.
