“A straightforward tale of kindness and paying it forward in 1980s New York… an uplifting reminder that small gestures matter.”Kirkus Reviews
“An Invisible Thread” by Laura Schroff
Join the congregation to read or listen to this true story exploring relationships and finding the common thread of humanity and kindness that we all share. Learn how one small, random act of kindness led to friendship and revolutionized their lives. We will read the book in January and have discussion groups in early February.
Dessert & Dialogue on Sunday, March 3
Laura Schroff will be coming to discuss her book at our 4th Annual Dessert and Dialogue! Dessert will begin at 7 PM in Fellowship Hall, followed by a question and answer session with Laura in the Sanctuary at 7:30.
“When I first heard that author Laura Schroff was coming to Westminster as the guest speaker for our annual Dessert and Dialogue, I went out and bought her book and read it. The true story in the book fits in with our Adult Education theme this year of “Embracing Transformation.” When the Dessert and Dialogue date got moved from October to March, it seemed that using the book for our congregation-wide read made sense. It is a very moving story of two lives transformed in unexpected ways!” – Westminster member Anne Ledyard
