Congregational Life

The Congregational Life Committee plans all-church fellowship events throughout the year to celebrate our life together as one church family. Events include the Lenten Dinners, the Palm Sunday Breakfast, the Summer Picnic, the Fall Campfire & Chili Cook-Off, and the Christmas Pageant Dinner. The committee serves as the liaison for fellowship groups within the congregation, including the Flying Solo Singles, the Roadsters, Men of Westminster, Presbyterian Women, and sponsored Scouting organizations (Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Venturing Crew).

Congregational Life is led by the Director of Congregational Life Kari Parsons and the Congregational Life committee. Contact the committee at cl@wpc-alex.org.

Tables for Eight

Tables for 8

Tables for 8 organizes groups of adults (singles or couples, members or visitors) to meet in homes every 4 to 6 weeks to dine and to enjoy fellowship together. We try to create each group with a mixture of singles and couples and with varied age groups. We hope to see many new and returning participants!

Prayer Shawl Ministry: Wearable Hugs

Do you like to knit or crochet? Join us as we craft love in every stitch to create tangible reminders of care and prayers. If you desire to reach out to those in need of comfort as well as celebration, contact Patrick Hunnicutt for details about this creative and unique opportunity for ministry to our WPC community.

Craft Workshop

Tuesdays, 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM and 7:30-10:00 PM in Room 104
Westminster's Craft Workshop began in 1978 as an outreach program of Presbyterian Women. These years have seen us provide fellowship, support, and education to people: young and old, church members and community friends. Every year, we host boxwood workshops in December for some hand-on holiday decorating. If you haven’t visited us, drop by any Tuesday and check out our space! We would love to see you. All are welcome to work on Tuesdays on any project during our open workshop. For more information about the craft group, contact Madeline Ramsey.

Softball Team

Softball is back! Every year we form a team to play in our local church co-ed softball league. We welcome both “old” and new players, including high schoolers! The season is April through June, playing one game per week on Monday or Thursday evenings. Interested? Contact Captain Vince Crisler at softball@wpc-alex.org.

Outsiders

This group, for people who enjoy being active outdoors, meets once a month in the fall and the spring to explore the outdoors, fellowship with one another, and develop a deeper relationship with God through nature.
